First pics from BBH online!

And they're finally here, the very first pics from Stern Pinball Inc's latest pinball machine Big Buck Hunter.

The deer jumps on the production line by the end of January 2010!

Here are the first impressions to begin with and a short analyse from the playfield:

  • Nice an colorfull backglass and cabinet
  • The playfield contains a deer which can move diagonally over the complete playfield
  • the apron is back in plastic? Think games like Austin Powers and Monopoly!
  • And again only one ramp at the playfield
  • The modes will be similar to NBA is my guess with a similar way to collect the wizard mode
  • We see a targetbank with three green standup targets at the left side with sort of a plastic shelter on top?
  • 3 popbumpers similar to NBA
  • green single standuptargets over the whole playfield
  • targetbank from probably 3 of 4 standups at the right hand side from the playfield
  • The head from a deer maybe with some light animation?
  • In the back we see a cow sitting on top of a plastic

Analysis from the shots(we start at the bottom left and we'll work our way around):

This is a 2 flipper game and the flippers are in their normal place as wel as the slingshots(again with flashers on to of them). The in and outlanes are also standard except for the fact that we have a double inlane at the right like we've seen before on the left side of the playfield in CSI, FGy and other Pat Lawlor pinballs.

A little bit higher on the left we see a targetbank with three standups(there could be another one behind the deer but I doubt it).

The first real shot is the left orbit which seems to either feed the popbumper lanes or goes around the complete playfield.

The second shot is the 'Deer' ramp and this one directs the ball to the 2nd right inlane.

The right shot next to the ramp is probably something like a saucer/kickout I think, between this shot and the next we see another small rectangle green standuptarget.

Shot 4 is a lane which guides the ball to a red standuptarget, similar to the Sniper shot in 24. Chance is big that this shot will be used to play Extra Ball, Special, Mystery and maybe Multiball start if you look at the lightboard which is located there above.

Another bigger green square standup target is located next to it and then we have another in or entrance from the popbumpers.

Between the 'shelter' and the popbumpers is another small green rectangle standup.

The shelter on the playfield(on the path of the deer) could be used as a target or even a scoop?

Then we have another small standup.

And the last real shot is probably another orbit to go either to the popbumper laneguides or around the playfield.

If you study the layout there should be some standups at the right hand side to I think to fill the space that's left.

And of course the last but most remarkable shot is the deer that you have to shoot with 5bullets(inserts), this probably indicates that  the deer has 5 positions on it's diagonal course across the playfield.

Between the slings there's another set of inserts quite similar to the ones in NBA with the big insert probably indicating the Wizard Mode.

I for one am very curiuos to play once again this new pinball machine!
